On this day, the suggestive procession with the urn and the Addolorata takes place in Calascibetta. The procession begins with the association of Our Lady of Sorrows waiting for the confraternities of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and together they go to the Church of Itria where they accompany the simulacrum of Our Lady of Sorrows. From here, the procession with the urn containing the dead Christ moves through the streets of the town centre. The procession is also accompanied by a prayer song from the town band, which impresses the sorrow of Jesus Christ even more deeply into the hearts of the devout.
