The celebrations begin in the morning with the town being woken up by cannon shots and the band playing through the streets. It continues in the early afternoon with the traditional 'U Mezzu Jurnu'. Finally, in the late afternoon, the procession starts from the church with the confreres carrying the simulacrum on their shoulders, going around the town and stopping in the upper part of Via Giudea, where the faithful watch the fireworks in honour of the Madonna.
